Charlotte has a huge amount of top level Eventing experience, having competed at Badminton three times as well as at Burghley and Luhmuhlen 5*’s. In addition to that, she is one of only a handful of people to have produced a home-bred horse (Out of Africa) right from the start up to Championship level. There is great skill in nurturing a young horse to enable him/her to realise their full potential, and Charlotte takes a huge amount of care to build firm foundations and a strong partnership with each one. Trust and confidence are two things she prioritises in these early stages, as well as building up a good base of physical strength which is crucial for them to have a long and healthy career at the top of the sport.

We are excited to be able to offer this as a new addition to our services in 2024! The TheraPlate has been a fantastic addition to the yard, and Floss Smith’s experience using it as a Rehabilitation tool is invaluable. We are now able to welcome horses on a short term basis, enabling them to make the most of the TheraPlate’s remarkable healing capacity as they recover from injury.
The all weather turnout pens are also a great asset for horses starting to return to ‘normal life’ but who are not yet ready to spend time in the field, and we work closely with our wonderful vet and physios to ensure each horse has a its own individual, carefully monitored rehab programme.
